Get ready to take an amazing adventure into the exciting world of magic in the Purple Wand course. Learn how to read people’s minds, make things appear out of nowhere and vanish at will! With a special focus on the different effects of magic from vanishes to productions, transformations to levitations - a whole new world of impossible awaits.

Discover Magic students go home confident and ready to share what they have learned with family and friends. Plus, each magic effect reinforces a critical life skill that goes way beyond the magic.

The Blue Wand course unlocks curiosity. Learn how to move objects with your mind, escape from chains and operate a time machine! In this course, students will learn the different types of magic from close-up magic to the big stage illusions, but more importantly they will discover the real secrets to becoming a true magician as each lesson reveals an important life skill to help build their confidence and communication skills.

green wand - unlocking mystery

Step behind the curtain as we unlock mystery in the Green Wand course. Learn how to cut a lady in half, give your friends super hero powers and make invisible objects materialise before your eyes! Each course comes with custom, high quality magic props, top secret file folders, and special secret words to unlock bonus instructional magic in the online video vault.

orange wand - unlocking wonder

Unlock wonder with the Orange Wand course as we delve further into the hidden art of magic. In this course students will not only learn presentation skills and the three key parts of an illusion, but more importantly they will discover the real secrets to becoming an expert magician on stage and off!

Each course follows the school term calendar - allowing for fun and meaningful learning to take place. On completion of their course, students earn their certificate of advancement and can work their way up to earning their colored graduation wands - much like karate belts!

All four courses, each with completely different magic effects and a unique focus, reinforce the exact same 8 traits: A true magician is: Respectful, Prepared, Enthusiastic, Confident, Humble, Creative, Authentic, and Giving.

Self-esteem derives from two sources: what we think of ourselves, and what others think of us. Since few can take comfort in one's own affirmation, a child's confidence is shaped by their peers and the world in which they find themselves.

When a child enters adolescence without a feeling of being somebody who can do something, the effect can be devastating. Magic has an incredible ability to shape young lives and a sense of being able to quite literally do the impossible. On the first day of class students get a secret file folder, a custom magic effect, and special key card to access our exclusive Magical Arts Society vault. Once logged in, secret words given at the end of each class will unlock more and more videos – including the special in-class videos that teach the 8 traits of a true magician and bonus material covering additional illusions.

Our programmes are presented by a dedicated group of professional instructors, performers and educators who are trained to deliver the ‘wow’ moment for today’s generation! Our instructors are amongst the very best in the industry - with years of specialised training experience - guaranteeing your child an unparalleled adventure into the world of magic!

We have multiple courses and at the end of each course students receive an exclusive graduation certificate and a special magic wand that's a different color for each course they complete, much like karate belts. Discover Magic is filled with surprises from custom coins to cards with hidden secrets in them - all awaiting hands-on learning. There is always something to spark the imagination and not only help young people discover magic, but unlock their potential.

Times: Class times vary depending on your School. Contact us for the latest schedule. Classes run for an hour on weekday afternoons.
Duration: Each course runs for a school term. We run completely different courses each term so new students can join throughout the year.
Fees: Tuition fees vary be school … fees are all inclusive and cover all needed specialised magic equipment and props for the course, tuition, notes, file folders as well as access to the secret online Video Vault.
Ages: Training is open to those students in Grades 3 - 7. Due to the nature of the training - and to ensure individual instruction - class sizes are limited!

+ What is the discover magic programme ?

Discover Magic is a premium magic course presented by the Magical Arts Society designed by a team of award winning magicians and educators. We help young people develop critical life skills that are quickly fading in today's technology centric society.

+ How does Discover Magic teach life skills?

We like to say this is not a magic class with life skills sprinkled in, it is a life skills course that also teaches magic. Each class helps build on one of the 8 traits of a true magician. We are rooted in empathy - only the art of magic requires the performer to put themselves in other people's shoes.

+ Does learning magic really help young people develop people skills?

Yes, magic is an interactive art. We feel the most important benefits to be derived from magic come from performing for others. There is a complex cycle of verbal and non-verbal communication flowing between the performer and the people watching that is unique to magic. So we’ve developed a system that will ensure every child gets to perform for someone, several times, in the positive, nurturing classroom environment.

+ Do you need any prior experience to join?

No. The programme is specifically designed for those beginning their journey in magic. No prior experience is necessary.

+ My child is really shy. Will they be able to do this?

Yes. We have created a totally safe and nurturing environment for your child's first few performances inside every class, and try particularly hard to ensure a child's confidence has every opportunity to grow from the very beginning.

+ My child has already learned some magic from YouTube, will this still be appropriate for them?

Absolutely. To begin, it's unlikely they would have learned any of these specific tricks any place else. Plus, we believe that just knowing the secret to how something is done is only the beginning. The really important things magic has to offer a young person will come from learning the 8 traits of a true magician and applying them.

+ Is everything included with the class?

YES! All magic equipment, training material and props are included. There is no additional expenses or purchases needed.

+ What is the Course duration?

Lessons are an hour in length and take place once a week. Courses follow the school term calendar.

+ What kind of magic are you going to teach?

Discover Magic features an incredible array of impossible illusions from making things appear and disappear at will, reading minds, defying gravity - causing items to levitate - and even having one solid object melt through another. Many of these tricks are unique to our program and they all feature a young person friendly presentation that will leave you wonderstruck!
